Michael Bolton & Mariah Carey’s rare performance finally surfaces

Lambs are waking up to a treat this morning as the Reeling In The Years youtube page has finally uploaded the never-before-seen performance of pre-debut Mariah Carey and Michael Bolton‘s live cover of “We’re Not Making Love Anymore.” The song was officially released as a duet with Barbra Streisand, but the audio of this performance had surfaced a few years ago and lambs pretty much wrote off the idea of seeing the footage. But wishes do come true as we finally have a visual of one of Mariah’s very first performances as a signed artist before her first single ever came out. This duet was definitely special to Michael just as it was to Mariah, as he said if they properly recorded it, the song would be #1 for seventeen weeks. The video also has a message at the very beginning that says that they have even more footage of Carey and Bolton, and it’s accessible to license for documentary purposes.
