Lil Nas X has a Mariah Carey impersonator at his JCHRIST premiere

The rapper Lil Nas X, who’s no stranger to controversy, has held a private screening for his soon to be released music video. The new song “JCHRIST” was released this morning but the video is set to publicly premiere tonight at 9pm. The red carpet for the premier of his new video was a (faux) star studded event! Celebrity impersonators of Michael Jackson, Ice Spice, Barack Obama, Taylor Swift and many more. But the most noticeable being Mariah Carey. The drag queen Mariah Carey Carrie has been cast in the new video to portray our Queen of Lambs entering what seems to be the gates of heaven, along with a long line of “celebrities.” A lot of lambs seem to be divided on this portrayal of Mariah, because of her strong history of being a Christian woman and Nas’ public denouncement of the religion. Lil Nas X also has had a history online of being negatively critical of her voice and ability in the past. Though the current Lil Nas X has been handed the torch by Mariah herself in 2018 for Nas’ breaking of the record for the longest week at #1, which was originally held by “One Sweet Day.” However Mariah Carey’s likeness made an appearance at the premiere carpet with thanks to Mariah Carey Carrie. We will keep you updated on the official video release and if Mariah plays a bigger part of the video than we’ve seen through the teasers.
