Tori Kelly shares photo with Mariah, and heartfelt message

Tori Kelly blew the audience away this past thursday at the Grammys Black Music Collective Event where she performed a cover of “Vision Of Love” in tribute to Mariah Carey. We have been waiting for a photo of the two of them together and she did not disappoint!

in a newly shared photo, Tori writes, “once upon a time, & year old tori finally won 1st place at the local singing competition after getting 2nd place for the previous few years in a row. what set her apart that year was the fact that she chose to sing 'vision of love' by mariahcarey. she even strutted across the stage a few times instead of standing there frozen like she usually did. if someone told her that 20 years later she would get to sing that very same song as a tribute to the legendary artist herself, she would've never believed it. thank u mariahcarey for sharing your gift with the world & inspiring me & so many others. i am so honored to have been a small part in celebrating the icon that u are!
