Spotify: SongWriter of the Month

Mariah Carey is Spotify’s official December 2023 Songwriter of the month. They are celebrating her songwriting skills by focusing and recognizing her accomplishment in the field. With 249 songs written, she is more than a glorious voice but someone whose pen stretches beyond her own page. Her second most popular song being from Bryson Tiller’s 2017 hit “Don’t”, in which he sampled her iconic hit song “Shake It Off.” And the most recent release being a new instrumental recording of “Where are You Christmas” by Ahron Kupner. A song Mariah didn’t release, but co wrote originally in 2000, for the 2001 movie Dr. Suess’ The Grinch. Mariah will also be featured in Spotify’s Songwriters Hub in celebration.
